Onshore Operations Centre (OOC) Operator

We aspire to become the digital front runner in the well intervention industry and transform the intervention value chain together with our customers. We have a long tradition of innovation and in 2016 refocussed our efforts to build an offering that would materially change the way operators approached well intervention challenges. Our digital transformation is now delivering new possibilities, with a new approach to data capture, collaboration and learning across task selection,
planning and the delivery of smarter operations.

A key part of this transformation is our Onshore Operations Centre.  This facility enables a game-changing level of real-time collaboration and data-driven decision-making across the planning, onshore, and offshore operations teams. The OOC will be a focal point for the champions of all disciplines including the operation supervisors/ onshore coordinators that plan the operations for Wireline, Logging & Interventions.

We are now looking for a proactive problem solver to join our newly opened Onshore Operations Centre. The OOC Operator will be a key part of a team that delivers integrated, smarter and sustainable solutions to our clients. The full job description can be found below. 

 

Onshore Operations Centre (OOC) Operator - Job Description

Stavanger, Norway

The Onshore Operation Centre (OOC) will represent the forefront of Altus Intervention's operational capability. During operations, the OOC will be the main connection point between onshore and offshore personnel, our clients, service partners and 3rd party collaborators. 

As the OOC represents a new capability in the organisation, its functions and responsibilities must evolve over time as we will learn new things during this process. 

It is important that the OOC functions can be flexible to fit the needs of our organisation and clients, to best support our ongoing operations. 

Initial setup & configuration of remote operations (focus during initial OOC operation) 

Ensure that the ongoing operations are correctly configured and connected with all the systems necessary to provide operations monitoring and remote support from the OOC. 

Ensure onshore & offshore: 

  • Computer systems connectivity & configuration 
  • Data streaming 
  • Team communications 

Responsibilities: 

  • Capture and document troubleshooting experiences 
  • Share & involve IT support and development teams for improvements and fixes 

Proactive troubleshooting: 

  • Identify, detect & solve problems before and during operations: proactively watch and solve problems that can arise during operations in communication with the offshore crew
  • Coordinate with all involved in the problem solving 
  • Continuously develop the software and processes in the OOC 

Future responsibilities during operations  

After OOC initial setup and configuration, these additional responsibilities are expected of the OOC Operators:

Individual product line needs 

  • Support and follow-up offshore crew during operations and during NPT 

Coordinate &  facilitate between onshore and offshore personnel 

  • SME -Subject Matter Experts (Champions) 
  • Clients
  • Service Partners 
  • 3rd Party 

Additional Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

Familiar with the knowledge needed to support ongoing operations: 

  • Procedures 
  • Checklists 
  • Experience transfer 
  • Lessons learned 

Ensure compliance with: 

Statutory, clients and corporate norms, policies and requirements. 

  • Solid technical background and offshore experience within wireline or logging and intervention  
  • Technical college/ university degree or proven experience
  • Good computer skills 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Good handling of documentation - procedures and checklists 
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English (spoken and written) 
  • Team player 
  • Know and understand the signed contracts between Altus and the customer 
  • Knowledge of well intervention modelling software 
  • Positive attitude and be able to embrace change 
  • Ensure all relevant quality and operational procedures for ongoing projects/runs are in use. 
  • Ensure all actions are performed in accordance with Altus Intervention's safety and environmental procedures. 
  • Ensure all incidents/accidents are immediately reported and relevant paperwork completed.
